Study Group 2008: Problem descriptions now available
The 2008 Study Group will be held at Heriot-Watt University on 7-11 April 2008. The list of industrial participants and the specific problem descriptions are now available. We encourage academics to register. Companies wishing to present a problem to ESGI 2008 might still contact Dr David Allwright to discuss.

Four Industrial CASE Awards to allocate
The Industrial Mathematics KTN has been allocated 4 CASE awards by EPSRC for projects starting between April 2008 and September 2009. We would like to receive expressions of interest for CASE projects from industrial and academic partners. If you have an idea for an interesting project, please request the CASE Application Form from Dr Melvin Brown.

New staff join the Industrial Mathematics KTN
Caroline Edwards joined the KTN management team on 10th March 2008 as Technology Translator. This position was created to reflect the increasing demand for mathematics by industry and the numerous opportunities we see emerging.

Micro and nanotechnology modelling and simulation focus group
The Nanotechnology KTN is holding an Interwise meeting on 3rd April 2008 at 10 am to launch the reformation of the Design for Modelling and Simulation Focus Group (DfMSG). The meeting will discuss the potential of micro and nano enabled modelling and simulation techniques and how the community can move forward with new visibility and energy.

ECMI2008
