Fedor Emelianenko made a recent appearance in Kiev, Ukraine, in which he was asked the question every MMA fan wants the answer to: Will he ever fight Brock Lesnar?
His answer revealed just how little thought Fedor gives to such matters: He had to ask the questioner to remind him who Lesnar was.
Fedor, sitting at a folding table with a single microphone in front of him while answering questions from a couple of reporters, was asked, "Now the question from the fans. Would you like to fight former wrestlers Bob Lashley and Brock Lesnar?"
"If we get such opportunity than we will fight, of course," Fedor said. "Bob Lashley is now signed with Strikeforce. Uh, um. Excuse me, please, who was the second one?"
Someone off camera reminds Fedor that the second one was Lesnar.
"Yes, Lesnar," Fedor said. "Brock Lesnar is UFC champion. These fights are possible. I would be glad to fight them. I never fought fighters like them before."
It's good news for the sport that Fedor thinks a fight with Lesnar is possible, as a bout between the UFC heavyweight champion and the fighter most MMA observers consider the best ever would be among the all-time classic matches. But Fedor's seeming lack of interest in Lesnar shows how far removed he is from those of us in the American MMA community who salivate over the prospect of a clash of the sport's two best heavyweights.

Hahaha! Fedor is hilarious! I love how he just shrugs off Lesnar like that. I do hope that fight happens eventually. People will be surprised with how easily Fedor dispatches Lesnar, who has way too many holes in his stand-up.
UFC is the biggest MMA show. Unfortunately, UFC encourage WWE/WWF/TSN approach to the sport. It is more about entertainment than sport. Fedor is type of personality which would not fit the UFC mentality.

Its to his credit he got it wrong. I agree with hakpa, to the extent that I have to record UFC events and fast forward through the hype/crap and get to the action.
You gotta be kidding me! Fast forward through all the pre-fight hype?? Man, I think that's a great part of the show, for me it just builds up the anticipation so that when the fights do begin I'm really pumped up. Also, sometimes they talk about some very interesting things about the fighters that people might not know about and give you a different idea of the type of person that fighter is.
Fedor is a great fighter, however based on his last fight with Brett Rogers- I would have to state that lesnar would maybe win against him. Don't get me wrong, it would be a battle. Lesnar has also come a long way since his first fight with Frank Mir. And as for Fedor not knowing about about Lesnar, that was all bullsh*t-he knows very well who he is- that was part of the "contract"- truthfuly with all due respect I think he might even be dodging Lesnar?
He just forgot who it was when the guy asked about Lashley and Lesnar. It wasn't like he was pretending you idiot. He doesn't give a crap ... he's the baddest man ont he planet.
lol.. lesnar.. who? and to ortega.. what have lesnar proved since his first fight? he still fights exactly like he's always done.. no technique.. no skills.. all brawn and size advantage.. and to think ufc nut lickers still insist that their "baddest man on the planet" is the next big thing but still highly overrated.. haven't proven nothing other than that you can be 4-1 and considered #2 in the world.. lmao.
Lesnar does have technique and skills. Superior wrestling skills! Everyone acts like he only wins cause he is big. Lesnar has changed what a heavyweight has to be. Just ask Frank Mir. The small heavyweights will have a tough time with his size and strength. Fedor will be no different. But until Lesnar or someone else can take down Fedor, he's still the man! I pray Fedor gets a chance to face Lesnar so we can just finally end this debate!!!
Rumour I guess I am a UFC nut licker because I think the same thing. Because it is true he still has a ways to go. But he has beaten the UFC title holders to be considered #2. It isn’t just a magazine or website that ranks him that high. I’m not a fan of Lesner but I give credit where it is due.

It sounded more to me like Fedor didn't realize Lesnar was a former pro-wrestler like Lashley was. Fedor knows who he is and has commented on him before. Furthermore, he instantly knew Brock was the UFC Champion.
I think everyone is looking into this further than they need to. Move along.

Honestly in my eyes, Brock Lesnar is not ready for someone like Fedor. I think this because Lesnar does not have enough experience, and well Fedor has a world of experience and has only lost once! So not for a while should lesnar fight Fedor. Now lashley i just dont like him because he is a "Pro" Wrestler and a fighter, i think he should just choose one!!
Regarding Lashley being a Pro Wrestler. Once again who gives a s**t. It has nothing to do with anything. He is making money and supporting his family. If a MMA guy was also acting would you hold it against him. No most likely not. So get over it. The way it looks he is done wrestling for the time being.
