| | (5/17) The GlitchMob - PDX
Kraddy and Ooah totally wrecked it. Suff-X started the damage and Ghosts on Tape moved the destruction along, but Kraddy and Ooah finished the job.
I am an old fat fuck and I was forced to danced my ass off until close to the end. Suff-X sounded great, a self-wrought beat-alicous journey that proves what a great talent he is. Ghosts on Tape was good, but I felt that Suff-X was better. When the Mob hit, it was over. I was slightly let down that it wasn't anything that I had not heard before, but it was still just what daddy wanted.
I would have liked the sound to be a little more...louder. There was a lot of bass in there that you couldn't feel all the way. The 3-D visuals were kinda lame; no offense to the VJs. It would have been nice if there were a little more work done in decorations as well. Also, it was hot in there, but hey if its too hot...get out of the kitchen.

thanks to everyone who put this show together or participated in its success in any way. all the staff were friendly and helpful, the other dancers were having a good time giggin and vibing off of one another, and the performers were all dedicated to their craft. i didnt get there early enough to see suff-x, but when i walked up the stairs i could here ghosts on tape's dark atmospheric techy music, looked around and saw all the heads, and knew it was goina to be a ill evening. once glitch mob came on, though, that's when the night flipped its switches for me. i went out on the dance floor and sweated two admission stamps right off of my arm!
so all in all, thanks for the fab eve, i liked the visuals, they were kindof lo-fi and rough and gritty and throwback-- some of what i like in the glitch mob. their sound was so raw and growly and just what i wanted to hear from them- crunk n dub n delicious. if you couldn't feel the bass, you should've gotten closer to the stage-- i had my water bottle on the lil platform in front of the decks, and it would dance along with us as the bass thumped maybe that means the speakers could have been aimed better or something, though. but i could feel the bass go right through my chest.
so thanks again to everyone who made this a great night for me and mine-- halo it was great to meet you! thanks for the car party!
