Toolbar for Internet Explorer
Navigate to websites without URLs
If you don't know the address or URL of a website you want to visit, enter the website's name into Internet Explorer's address bar and Toolbar's Browse by Name feature will help you find it. For example, type oxford university into the address bar to go directly to the University of Oxford homepage. If Toolbar can't determine what website you want to visit, Toolbar displays Google search results for the closest matches instead.
Enable or disable Browse by Name
- Click the Toolbar's wrench
icon. - On the Search tab, select (or deselect) the 'Browse by Name in the address bar'
checkbox. - Click Save.
This feature is disabled by Internet Explorer 8, but should continue to work in IE6 and IE7.
This feature is only available for Toolbar for Internet Explorer.
