In many standards reference is made to technology protected by patents. This site provides information about ISO's patent policy, standards in which patents are referred to as well as information about the patents. - ISO Guides
Guides are prepared by Policy Development Committees (PDCs, such as CASCO or COPOLCO), or by committees or groups established by the ISO Technical Management Board (TMB) and operating under the TMB (e.g. REMCO). A number of Guides are jointly developed between ISO and IEC and then published as ISO/IEC Guides.

Standards often contain graphics. Information concerning the requirements for graphics can be found in this section. - Graphical symbols
Graphical symbols developed by ISO committees need to be submitted to ISO's committee on Graphical symbols, ISO/TC 145. The procedure explains this process in detail. - Procedure for the development and maintenance of standards in database format
Standards contain increasingly structured elements which lend themselves to be managed with the support of databases. This procedure defines the process of how such items are being maintained or developed.

ISO operates regularly training courses for ISO members and individuals responsible for the operation of technical committees, subcommittees and working groups. This site gives up-to-date information about the courses, their dates and how to apply.
Service agreements
- Service agreement concerning committee secretariats
National standards bodies holding committee secretariats sign up to a service agreement between themselves and ISO Central Secretariat. The service agreements are signed by the CEOs of the respective organizations. The text can be seen here and highlights the minimum expectations when holding the secretariat of an ISO committee.
