Green living: Do you recycle and/or compost?

Quebec is introducing measures to cut household trash and divert organic waste currently dumped in landfills.
The province's Liberal government wants to ban "green" and recyclable waste from landfills within a decade, starting with paper and cardboard by 2013.
This would help Quebecers achieve the government's other green goal: to cut average household waste to 700 kilograms per year from 810.
Organic waste will be diverted to yet-to-be-built composting centres around the province, Environment Minister Line Beauchamp said Monday in announcing the new trash plan.
Do you recycle or compost? If not, would measures like these get you to start? Do you think the Quebec government's plan is a good one?
