Public open tender EAC/47/2009: Feasibility study to examine the potential need for a Student Lending Facility at European Level

The overall objective to which this contract will contribute is to make lifelong learning and mobility a reality, by reducing financial barriers. This Study will investigate options for the feasibility of establishing a pan-EU student lending scheme in support of learning mobility, building upon earlier research in this area, including the conclusions of the 'Cluster' (cooperation group between Member States on good practices) on the Modernisation of Higher Education on funding models to expand learning mobility and the findings of the International Policy Conference on Student Loans (2009) organised by the European Investment Bank in co-operation with the European Commission.
