Hyderabad: It was a memorable experience for the underprivileged children of Hyderabad today.

The American 3-D animation film Fly me to the moon film was screened specially for about 500 destitute children by Ramesh Prasad, MD of Prasad's IMAX, here in collaboration with a few NGOs, during the ongoing 16th International Childrens's Film Festival.

The underprivileged children are inmates of the government homes or just street children. "I am happy that the children of weaker sections had a unique opportunity," a media release from the organisers of the film festival quoted Prasad as saying.

The 'Make a Difference Foundation' and Vijayalakshmi of Prerena Foundation, besides Lakshmi Kumari of SC/ST Orphan Homes took lead in gathering the children for the special screening at the Prasad's IMAX today.

Fly me to the Moon is an animation movie in which flies literally made the trip to the Moon on a rocket and come back.

"This was my first 3-D movie and I was scared like hell that the rocket will fall on me," said Laksmi (10) an inmate of the SC Orphan Homes. "I almost fainted that the giant fish would eat me," said Shruti, another destitute girl who had the memorable experience of her life time at the Prasad's IMAX.

Lakshmi Kumari , director of the SC/ST Orphan Homes, said 120 children of the two SC/ST Orphans in Hyderabad were benefited with the unique film.
