Harvest Moon and Rune Factory in the 10 Most Avidly-Played Wii Games - February 3rd, 2010 @ 11:15am

According to Kotaku, Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility and Rune Factory: Frontier are two of the most avidly-played Wii games in America, based on statistics from the Nintendo Channel. Tree of Tranquility comes in at an average of 49 hours and 4 minutes that players have played since the game's release, and Rune Factory comes in at 46 hours and 55 minutes. I can't say I'm surprised given the type of gameplay the Harvest Moon series offers, but it's still nice to see how well the games are doing!

Web Designer Needed - January 29th, 2010 @ 9:30am

First off - Happy New Year!

With that said, HMFarm is looking to move forward into this new decade and see it as a new beginning. This site was started in late 1999, now over 10 years ago, and has been maintained by the same person all of this time (...me)!

As it is a new decade, HMFarm will hopefully be releasing a new look by the Spring (that's about two months, these things take time). I am researching and sketching up new designs myself, but I am also open to hiring someone else to help with the redesign, be it a layout, or a new content management system. If anyone is interested in taking this opportunity to help out, please e-mail me at webmaster@hmfarm.com with the Subject: "HMFARM Redesign". Please include examples of your work (links to websites, etc.). Alternatively, if you know of someone who is looking for some work in layouts, please let them know about this opportunity.

New Games Released! - November 10th, 2009 @ 9:02pm

Just in case all you crazy fans dont know, Harvest Moon: Animal Parade for the Nintendo Wii and Harvest Moon: Sunshine Island for the Nintendo DS were released TODAY! Go get them!
Changes Coming Soon! - November 10th, 2009 @ 9:02pm

I am bringing on some staff members who have been loyal HMFarmers for many years and have served as admins on the forums! Becky will be working on fanart, so all e-mails can be sent to her! I will be putting her e-mail up soon to start getting those! We will also be updating game sections, and eventually getting a site makeover, so hold tight!
Life Happens! - June 26th, 2009 @ 6:39pm

Unfortunately due to no access to Internet and missing my computer with all of my files, I wasn't able to update these past few weeks! Following a week long vacation next week, updating will resume :).
Super Smash Brothers Jack Texture - June 5th, 2009 @ 6:39pm

A few months ago I received an e-mail from a fellow Harvest Moon fan telling me about the texture they created for Ness on Super Smash Brothers on the Wii. I only read the e-mail today, but for those who love the game but haven't seen this, it's really worth a look. The owner of the site, Jack Harvest, spent many hours on this texture and it really shows. Jack Harvest runs Team MeowMix, a site that creates hack textures for the game, and more information can be found on how to use it at the site.

The Jack texture can be found by clicking here. Enjoy!
Tree of Tranquility Updates - June 5th, 2009 @ 12:05pm

I've added the Festivals page for Tree of Tranquility. If I missed anything, do let me know!
E3 2009 - June 5th, 2009 @ 10:15am

Natsume announced a wide variety of games at E3 this year, the majority being in the Harvest Moon series. Natsume anounced...

Harvest Moon: Animal Parade (Wii) to be released Autumn 2009.
Harvest Moon: Frantic Farming (DS), a sequel to Puzzle de Harvest Moon to be released June 2009.
Harvest Moon: My Little Shop (Wii WiiWare), release date TBA. This is the most interesting, as you can manage a shop of your choosing and play mini-games to create goods to sell to familiar characters from the HM games.
Harvest Moon: Sunshine Islands (DS) to be released Summer 2009, an updated version of Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness.
Contributions Requested - June 4th, 2009 @ 11:03pm

In an effort to get HMFarm back up to date as quickly as possible, I would like to put a request out to all of you (my visitors!) to send in contributions in the form of information about games that I am missing. I am going to do my best to update game information, but it will be a lengthy process purely on my own. I would invest in hiring staffers, however in the past I've had issues with every single staffer I selected not actually working on anything. Instead, I will give credit directly on a page where anyone sends me information.

Help out HMFarm and get us updated, and in turn you will be credited with your name/e-mail (unless you don't want to be). To submit information, please enter the game name you are writing about in the e-mail subject and send it to webmaster@hmfarm.com. Thanks for the help and for your loyalty over these years!
Tree of Tranquility Updates - June 4th, 2009 @ 7:35pm

I've added an Items and Shops pages to the Tree of Tranquility (Wii) portion of the page. Keep visiting for more updates to come in the coming weeks!
Happy Summer 2009! - May 29th, 2009 @ 11:36am

Hi everyone! I can't believe it's been 6 months, I feel truly horrible that I wasn't able to finish updating things. However, given that I just graduated college and am taking some time off before working, I think this is my perfect opportunity to get HMF back up to speed! My first priority is to get game information up to date, because I know that is what is most important to all of you. My next goal will be to update HMF to make it more modern and get rid of this years old layout.

Unfortunately do to my current living situation I won't be able to access e-mails for the next few days, but I will get to them soon. If you've e-mailed me in the past half year I apologize, I will try to get to the more pressing things like fanart/fanfiction and link requests, but I can't promise I will answer all game questions that were sent to me in the past. But feel free to send in game information that I'm missing, questions, and fanwork!
Rune Factory Wii Play Test - December 4th, 2008 @ 11:10am

Yesterday, IGN had the privilege of play testing Rune Factory on the Nintendo Wii. Follow this link for their synopsis.
Fanwork to Come - December 3rd, 2008 @ 12:39pm

I also wanted to add a quick update to let everyone know that if you have e-mailed me any fanart, fanfiction, or other fan work from April 9, 2008 to now I do have it and will upload it at the next chance I get. If you sent something before April and it hasn't been added I encourage you to e-mail me again!
New Affiliates - December 3rd, 2008 @ 11:39am

Just a quick update, I've added new affiliates, they are all really great sites that I would recommend. They are Harvest Moon Search, a search engine that you can use to search for information from any Harvest Moon website, Zelda Dungeon, Harvest Moon Wii (covers Tree of Tranquility) and Harvest Moon Paradise. Please support the Harvest Moon community and visit them!
Layout Update Coming Soon - December 2nd, 2008 @ 4:53pm

I just can't seem to get myself away from HMFarm! I have some plans to update HM Farm's layout in the coming month or two, my goal is to have it completed by February 2009. Hopefully by January I will have a sneak preview of the layout for all of you out there who are curious. My goal is to make HM Farm a little more interactive and a little more "modern" looking, as well as better organized. If anyone has any ideas for what they'd like to see (within reason), shoot me an e-mail!
Harvest Moon's 10-year Anniversary - August 8th, 2008 @ 8:55pm
