INM unites printing works under new central management
Wednesday, 18 November 2009
Independent News & Media (INM) has announced the complete reorganisation of its print and production assets in Ireland.
The group's three leading print and production facilities, at Citywest in Dublin, Newry and Belfast are to be managed as a single, combined entity.
INM, the publisher of this newspaper, is the largest commercial newspaper printer in both Northern Ireland and the Republic.
The new entity will be managed by Brendan Elebert, currently production director at the Citywest facility.
Kieran Matthews, currently assistant managing director of the Belfast Telegraph, will expand his role to assist in managing the new combined print and production operation.
Vincent Crowley, group chief operating officer, said: "This new structure allows for a dedicated focus for all of our print and production activities across the island of Ireland. Managing the three plants as one unit will deliver significant efficiencies, improved time to market for our customers, as well as combining best practice production techniques from each of the facilities."
