A 18, 2488–2492Electron-impact widths and shifts of neutral helium lines in a plasmaReceived 7 December 1977 The quantum-mechanical formalism developed by Bassalo and Cattani is used to calculate the broadening and shift of many atomic lines of neutral helium in a plasma.
