How do I change my default web page?

Your default web page (or home page) is the web page that appears when you start Internet Explorer from outside the software, or when you click the little 'home' icon on your toolbar. (Version 8.0 does not have a 'home' icon on the toolbar.)

Web Browser:

  1. Sign on and select Settings from the toolbar.
  2. Version 9 users should select the By Category tab and click the Internet [Web] Options link, while for Version 8 and below click Internet Properties (WWW).
  3. At the top of the window you'll see the Home Page option. Simply type the address of the web page you'd like to use, for example: http://www.aol.co.uk/. Alternatively, click Use Current to use the web page you are currently viewing, or click Use Blank to use a blank page.
  4. Click OK to store your home page settings.

The instructions above may vary slightly depending on your exact version of Internet Explorer and/or Windows. For further support, visit the Microsoft web site: http://www.microsoft.com/ie/support/
