Barbara Kay: Micha lle Jean shouldn't take sides in the domestic abuse issue
“We don't see them, we don't hear them, but they are there, taking the full brunt of the abuse.”

just candid | I have several problems with that statement. First of all, it is not true that abused women are not heard or seen, as that very conference and a plethora of others make clear: Women's pain is bruited from the rooftops and every media outlet in the land. Second, it is not true that women are taking the full brunt of domestic violence. They are actually taking a little more than half the brunt. The irrefutable data on reciprocal partner violence has been available for many years (including from StatsCan), but have made no headway against the ideological forces that control the domestic violence agenda. Barbara Kay, You are correct. Here in the United States, all abuse/violence women commit against men is totally ignored by the police, the media, the legal and judicial systems and our politicians. Even inno cent men who have been falsely accused of abuse/violence against women are jailed/imprisoned every day. They have all adopted the "women never lie" ideology and turn men's lives upside down all based on heresay. Even with news of men being exonerated after spending years in prison after being falsely accused of ,among other things, rape, the above mentioned still believe the woman's word over that of a man (especially here in Nashville,TN). Gender bias runs amuck. We men simply have few rights to the old saying "innocent until proven guilty". I am now seriously considering getting in contact with my fellow MRA's and requesting a total boycott of Tennessee products and services and the tourist industry until they recognize how easy they have made it for a woman to have a man locked up on false accusations. |

just candid | The other nearly half of domestic violence is being suffered by men. And we most certainly don't see or hear male victims of abuse, because nobody advocating for women on this file believes women abuse men except in self-defence. Even if they wanted to be seen and heard, unlike women, men have nowhere to take shelter, no conferences to address and no prestigious spokesperson to give credibility and exposure to their problems. The same here in the U.S., Male hating/bashing and groin shots are considered normal pastimes, politically correct and socially acceptable. The police here in Nashville,TN would watch a woman stab a man to death then, support her "abuse excuse". |
