NEW ORLEANS -- They'll be watched today by the expectant eyes of amateur bracketologists everywhere, all of whom hope that Notre Dame fails miserably and gives them a bull's eye on an NCAA tournament first-round upset pick.
The Irish, of course, are not amused and don't plan to cooperate when their matchup with Old Dominion tips at 11:25 a.m.
"Everybody has an opinion," Irish forward Tyrone Nash said. "The game is going to be decided between those lines. Only time will tell if we're going to be upset. But we're going to treat it like a Big East game, go out there focused and confident and have fun and play our game. And hopefully we won't be upset."

It would be the second time in the last three NCAA tournament trips that Notre Dame got upended in the first round, after Winthrop did the deed in 2007.
And though Old Dominion has an upperclassman-dominated lineup, the Irish are counting on NCAA experience -- three ventures in four years -- to carry them through to the weekend at New Orleans Arena.
"We're used to being here," forward Luke Harangody said. "We've made it to the round of 32 before. So we felt what it felt like to be there. This is not new to us. We know this feeling and what we have to do to get it done."
