AirAsia Plans New Routes to Nine Indian Cities, Star Reports

Nov. 21 (Bloomberg) -- AsiaAsia Bhd., a Malaysian low-cost carrier, plans to add new routes to nine Indian cities to tap demand, the Star reported, citing Chief Executive Tony Fernandes.
It announced flights between Kochi, Kolkata and Trivandrum and Kuala Lumpur yesterday. The airline will add Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad from April 2010, and Mumbai and Delhi at the end of 2010, it added.
It is also looking to fly to Amritsar from Bangkok, the report said, without giving a timeframe.
