Almost there Congratulations to the Moss Point Tigers. We are one step away from going to Jackson.

Missed opportunities Can businesses place their phone number in large numbers on the front of their businesses? I see so many businesses that miss an opportunity because they don't have a phone number that's visible from the roadway.

Busy beach days I just wanted to call in and say I really like the way the beach project is going, contrary to the way some citizens feel. I'm thinking about asking the city if I can put me a little beer station at The Point because of all of traffic coming out to take a look at it.

Barbour in a different light It may take more than the ability to handle financial issues well to be a good president, but it sure would help, as we're finding out right now, because ours doesn't have a financial instinct in his head. As we go broke, Barbour is looking pretty dang good.

Simplify college choice I'm calling about the Mississippi educational funding. I think this is very simple. It's fine to cut back college funding, but start funding more of the grade levels. These kids who actually want to learn something have something behind their backs. It's not right for somebody to bust their behind to get into a college, and then have to turn around and do all of this work. If the child really wants to go to college and make something of themselves, either they've done it in high school or they didn't. There's no point in making everybody suffer for that. I can go along with the governor in merging the colleges in the state of Mississippi. But he needs to close them all and then just open up three. One up north, one in the middle and one in the south part of the state. If you want to go to school, then you can go to one of those.
