THE success of the sunseed sunflower oil project is due to farmers in Lango, the Mukwano Group of Companies’ marketing manager, Praveen Kumar, has said, write Vision Reporters.

“The oil is light in taste and appearance and contains high levels of Vitamin E. There are a variety of health benefits associated with consumption of sun seed sunflower oil,” he said.

Kumar said at the Uganda International Trade Fair in Lugogo: “The oil contains low levels of saturated fats, low fat and less cholesterol, which reduces the risk of heart diseases.”

He added that the oil can be used in extremely high cooking temperatures and helps food stay fresher and healthier for longer periods of time.

“Each bottle you buy is a contribution to the efforts of the farmers in Lango.”
