SYMPATHY EXPRESSED
The death has taken place after an illness at Sligo General Hospital of Mrs. Peg O'Keefe, Lough Allen View Dristernan.
The late Mrs. O'Keefe is survived by her husband Paddy, former Principal Drumshanbo NS, daughters Máirín, Máiread son Fáchnan (USA), in-laws, grandchildren, other relatives and friends to whom we extend our deepest sympathy. The Funeral took place t
o the New Cemetery on Tuesday of last week following Requiem Mass in St. Patrick's Church. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

CLOTHES SWAP CHARITY EVENT
The ideal ladies evening out with music, fashion show, and select beauty treatments followed by the main event - the Clothes Swap! The Commercial Hotel, Ballinamore on Friday 27th November at 8.30pm. Entrance fee €10 in aid of Link Community Development Uganda, Ballinamore Tidy Towns and DePaul Ireland.
For every fashion item (including evening wear, day wear, jewellery, shoes, scarves, coats, Debs dresses etc.) you donate you get a token (up to a maximum of 15 per person). Tokens can then be used on the night to swap for something else that you like. If you cannot attend but have items that you would like to donate, they would be greatly appreciated. On the other hand, if you feel you have not anything to swap but see something you like on the night, a number of tokens will be available for purchase at p5 each.
Your fashion items can be left into the function room in The Commercial Hotel on Thursday 26th between 7pm and 9pm, and Friday 27th between 3pm and 7pm (or contact 086 3792052 if you want to give in items before this). All items must be in good condition and clean. Think of items you have in your wardrobe that you love but know you will never wear again. This is your chance to swap them for something you will wear! Please tell all your friends and get sorting through your wardrobe!

NORTH LEITRIM WOMEN'S CENTRE FUNDRAISER
A Fund raising Concert in aid of the North Leitrim Women's Centre will be held in the Bee Park, Manorhamilton on Friday 27th November. Artists include Eleanor Shanley, Charlie McGettigan, Liam Kelly & Michael Holmes. LEITRIM RIDING CLUB SAY THANKS
We wish to thank all those who supported our table quiz last Saturday night at the Ramada Hotel in Drumshanbo. Thanks also to all those who supported our raffle by providing us with spot prizes. Thanks to all members who organised and helped on the night. It was a great success and a very enjoyable night.

COMMUNICATIONS WITH TEENAGERS

IRISH PILGRIMAGE TRUST FUNDRAISER
A Fundraising Social and raffle in aid of the Irish Pilgrimage trust will take place on this Friday 20th November in the Sligo Southern Hotel starting at 10pm. Music by Jack Ramsey Band. Admission €10. Funds go towards financially assisting young people with special needs to visit Lourdes at Easter 2010 and Summer holiday at Kilcuan ,Clarenbridge ,Co.Galway in. UPCOMING COURSES AT THE FOOD HUB
There are a number of training courses running at the Food Hub throughout November. Among the courses are Start Your Own Food Business, Accounting, Payroll & IT Skills. Also starting next week is a Christmas Cookery Course, which will run for 6 Wednesday evenings. COMMUNITY INTERNET FACILITY NOW OPEN
A new Community Internet Facility is now available courtesy of Co.Leitrim Organic Farmers Co-operative at Drumshanbo Enterprise Centre, Hilly Road. FAST BROADBAND available at €4 per hour or €2 per half hour. Contact Amanda Forde, Administrator. Tel 071-9640868. The facility is open to all in the community and will be available from 9.30 a.m.-6.00 p.m. daily or later by appointment.

FITNESS CLASS
Fitness class every Wednesday evening at 6.30pm to 7.30pm in Shane McGettigan GAA Park.

LEARN TO JIVE

An Aerobics Class has commenced in Drumkeerin Community Centre on Wednesdays at 8.30pm and will run for 10 weeks. All are welcome.

WARMER HOMES PROJECT
Leitrim Co. Development Company (formerly Partnership) invites applications for their Warmer Homes Project. Warmer Homes will insulate attics and cavity walls of homes of OAP's, people with disabilities and other on low income. A small charge will apply. For further information, call Máirín on 9641770.

THANKS FROM CHILDHOOD DAYS
Sincere thanks to Catherine Lynch who organised a fundraising function in aid of Childhood Days and the Parents of Children with Disabilities Group in Berry's Tavern, Drumshanbo. Proceeds were shared between both groups. Thanks to all the sponsors, the venue and to all who support the event on the night. Childhood Days received p1,440 which will go towards activity and transport costs.
Childhood Days is an out of school service and support group for children with special needs and their families providing equal opportunities and integrated extra curricular activities throughout the year particularly during school closures. CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR
Saturday, 28th November, 11am-4pm. At the Resource Centre next to the church in Leitrim Village. In aid of N.W. Hospice. Admission p3 per adult includes raffle ticket. Accompanied children free of charge. Face painting, children's storyteller, refreshments, Christmas carols from the choir of St. Joseph's N.S, Tombola, numerous assorted local craft stalls. A great family day out, ideal for Christmas Gift Shopping. Please come and support this local fundraising event.

DRUMSHANBO COMHALTAS
Traditional Irish Music Song & Dance Sessions: The following two traditional Irish, music, song & dance sessions will take place shortly. On Sunday next 22nd November in Cortober Hall, Carrick-on-Shannon (on the hill across from Lunneys Garage) a session will take place from 5pm til 7pm. On Friday 29th November the Community Centre in Leitrim Village (beside the church) the now regular monthly session will take place @ 7pm till 8.30pm.
Anyone of any age who would like to play a tune, sing a song, or take to the floor for a dance are all very welcome. Listeners are also very welcome too so do come along you'll enjoy it. Experienced musicians, singers and dancers will be present at the sessions to help you along. See you there.
Fundraising Event for Connacht Fleadh Cheoil in Mohill 2010: A busking session will take place at Tescos, Carrick-on-Shannon(inside the main door) on Saturday 19th December from 10am till 6pm. If any musician, singer or dancer has some free time and would like to take part in this event, please contact Mary on 086 2309791 to give your name and the time you are available. This event is being organised by Drumshanbo Comhaltas to raise much needed funds to host the Connacht Fleadh Cheoil which is being held in Mohill in July 2010. Drumshanbo Branch members and friends are particularly encouraged to take part as it is our fundraising event to go towards the Connacht Fleadh fund. Other fundraising events will be taking place over Co Leitrim as well, so watch out for these over the coming months. Many thanks to Mr Noel Willis, Manager of Tescos who has allowed us to avail of the area inside the main door for this event.
