If I could give this a zero I would. Terrible, sappy, predictable, preposterous, ridiculous, and overacted by cameron diaz. I mean as if one sister would refuse to help the other, get real. My wife & I did not connect on any level with this mess.
I'm a big fan, and if you read the book the movie was almost exactly the same. It was a love story and bella finding her way. Now the next one should be with all the action, so sit tight all those out there that thought this was boring or slow
Went into "Twilight" with high expectations and left sorely disappointed. Went into "New Moon" with no expectations and was very pleasantly surprised! I actually thought the acting was much, much better this time around, and there were a lot of laughs and some great action! I really enjoyed it - it is my opinion that the nay-sayers are likely people who didn't read/love the books. The movie sticks closely to the book for the most part, and the book is full of sadness and longing - If you "got" that, the movie couldn't be boring.

This is one very long car chase. Everything happens in the nick of time again and again. Extremely predictable.

Absolutely amazing! Definitely worth the wait! Any fan will know that Chris Weitz did an excellent job of staying true to the books! The special effects were awesome -- I didn't feel like I was watching a "cartoon" at all. And the acting! How people can say it was horrible, I have no idea. Compared to Twilight, the acting reached new levels. I truly felt the pain of Bella's character through Kristen Stewart - and the rest of the cast were just as excellent. I am DEFINITELY going to be seeing this movie a few more times in theatre; that's for sure!

alright I guess.... but a lot of long/dull moments I found!
If you missed the plot in this movie, perhaps you should go back to reading 11 page stories. It is not a Walt Disney film. The plot is rich and complex--an epic expansion of the themes merely suggested in the original. But, these themes are explored primarily through metaphor, so if metaphor is not your forte, again, perhaps going back to a simpler version would be best. I give this movie two enthusiastic thumbs up.

I would recommend flushing $20 down the toilet and watch it go around and around as it goes down instead of watching this crappy movie. What a complete waste of time/absolute garbage....shame on the actors who pimped themselves to work/get paid for this

I know this may be so typical coming from a twilight fan... but honestly this was WAY better than the first one. Directing wise this movie flowed soo much better, it wasn't as rushed as twilight. Yes like all movies based on books it is missing a few details where you're like "wait where is that part" but even if I was ever like that I found that as the movie progressed I didn't miss it as much or it was there later on. I came out loving twilight and I still do but it just doesn't compare to the book. I found new moon to be closer to the book and again I loved it. I was left wanting more just like with the books. Very Well done
The movie is okay. It's hard to translate the same intensity and emotional content of the book into the movie because the movie was true to the book, but still not as good as the book. The two main stars are good actors, but they are not great. Honestly if the the vampire diary stars were in these roles, the movie would be better, because they are better actors. Without the werewolf this movie would have been boring....but its not bad, there are some good moments.

High Camp. Think new age meets U.S. army top generals meets Timothy Leary. Very different and rather strange. Not your usual moving going experience - so I guess there's merit there.
Compared to the first one, this one was really half decent. There are some still very awkward scenes, but really - isn't that what makes these movies so much fun? They really are hilarious. Don't get me wrong - I love Twilight, I think that actors in this movie are good (although poor Rob sometimes looks like he's passing kidney stones). But seriously - the first movie has a lot of laughing moments and this second one does too. But MUCH better direction (thank you Chris Weitz)and acting. I liked how they stayed close to the storyline. GOOD JOB!!!! I will see this numerous times too!

this movie was the worst movie i've ever seen. i cant believe that they made this out to be something great!!! they poke funny comments here and there.. to make people laugh. but all you see is people dieing.. and nothings funny about that. all i have to say.. " NO more PUll UPS" thats the last line said. wow!! DONT waste your time.
Saw the 12:01am showing this morning and loved every minute! The directing, acting and special effects were fantastic and captured the images and dialogue of the book quite well. The cast seemed much more relaxed with eachother and it reflected in the acting. New Moon definitely leaves you thirsting for more! My favourite scene would have to be the last one ;) Totally worth the sleep deprevation!

This is a must see for everyone! Beautifully shot i Mongolia and thankfully not in a patronizing way. All parents should see this mom and dad in action. How beautifully and painfully they proceeded to help their son. Wonderful to experience!
