I believe you need a manager that can help you psychologically as well. Ray from “Everybody Loves Raymond” has been in therapy forever. He says he will always need it. So it’s no big deal to go and get the support you need. You can’t do it alone, it never works out.

If you have read about Charlie Sheen and Martin Sheen they went through a lot of recovery episodes together and now Charlie has a great show on TV.

If you have mutual friends you could ask him to go with you to a party. But, I would wait for him to ask me for a date or to hand out.

Make them a card and leave it where they are sure to find it. Say the words of thanks that you feel and put it in the card. That way they will know that it comes straight from the heart.

I am sure your mother doesn’t hate you because her husband left. That was his choice to leave. Families have their problems but the parents should help their children when they get into trouble. I don’t know your circumstance that well but, I would take action and if you can’t get to the doctor like tomorrow go to the police.

I ditto the above statement from Anonymous. Rape and the continuous threat of being raped…no one has to live like that. Your family may be shocked but they may also be descent people. You are a young person who needs help no matter what your problem is. Don’t let your step-father get away with it. He knows what scares you and he knows how to manipulate the family.

If nothing else works go to your family doctor right away. He will know what to do for you. You will be afraid for awhile but, good things will happen to you if you are willing to stand up for your rights.

A person should let their feelings be expressed. It’s a good way to keep the normal juices flowing rather than bottled everything up inside them.

Ask the guy that is going to move in if he has any references? Do a background check through your landlord. If he has a record of any kind then I would give it to my friend.

After all you hardly know this person. So your judgement should be based on his record.
