  umm.. not really. Pasta mainly contains polysaccharides (amylose, amylopectin), which are scinded into monosaccharides by amylases (alpha amylase+pancreatic amylases). Tofu… it’s soy, right? so unless i’m wrong it should also be polysaccharides… twinkies, i’d say both (there should be polysaccharides in the dough and monosaccharides because of the syrups they use, as long as the list of ingredients i read is right) and as for sprite… well, sugar is a disaccharide, but i read somewhere it also contains fructose syrup (and fructose is a monosaccharide) - check the ingredients!

  …assuming you “changed” and things quieted down… would you really want to be friends with these people? Or are you merely looking for a cease-fire? I mean, from what you say, it sounds like - forgive the phrase - like you’re convinced you’re in the right, and they’re in the wrong. (Obviously i have no way of knowing.) So… changing yourself… is it really the way to go?
  And what kind of things do you “bring onto yourself”? I’m not asking you to write on here about this, just to think about it. First place the variables, then solve the problem. More variables: you have friends… good friends? How close? how many? are they on your side? Can you get any advice from your family? teachers? can you get an illuminating inspiration from somebody/a song/book/movie (amazing how that works sometimes)?

  Are you sure you meant atoms… or protons? I mean, calcium is not a compound, it is an element. Compounds are made of different atoms, like water H2O. But calcium, oxygen, hydrogen, iron… these are elements. Oxygen is usually found in molecular form (O2, that means two atoms bound together by covalent bond.) Calcium, on the other hand, is a metal - which means, as baconbyanyothername well put it, that very many atoms are kept together by a sea of electrons. Oxygen atoms almost always go in pairs (molecular oxygen); calcium atoms go in groups, you can’t tell how many calcium atoms are bound together. That is, unless you’re talking calcium ion (Ca++) but i don’t think that’s what you meant.
  If you want to know how many PROTONS there are in calcium, on the other hand, the answer would be 20; the atomic weight is 40.
