White Widow is a strain of Cannabis known for its abundance of white trichomes and high potency.[1] The strain won the Cannabis Cup in 1995.[2][3]
According to a 2004 report by The Guardian's Anushka Asthana, White Widow carries around 8.2% of the active ingredient tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and sells for approximately £20-£25 for an eighth of an ounce in London.[1] A 2005 article by Bloomberg revealed that White Widow was sold at the Compassion and Care Center in San Francisco for $350 per ounce.[4]

White Widow is mentioned by comedian Bryan Myrick in a bit about his trip to Amsterdam, and is referenced in the Showtime television show Weeds.[citation needed].
In several rap/hip hop songs, White Widow is referred to as Blue Moon Marijuana[citation needed].
