Widespread flooding reported after overnight rain

Heavy rain has lead to flooding across many parts of the country.

Met Éireann says more than an inch of rain fell in places overnight, with the south east worst affected.

Some further downpours are expected again today.

Derek Byrne of AA Roadwatch says a number of areas around the country are impassable.
