“Employers have more to do to bridge the gap between the classroom and the world of work if British business is to find the talent, creativity and skills needed for our future.

“Many companies already offer work experience, but it's now more important than ever for young people’s first taste of work to be as relevant, meaningful and inspiring as possible.”

Welcome to Work Inspiration - a UK wide, employer-led campaign to transform work experience into Work Inspiration. This first experience of the world of work can have a profound effect on young people - for better or worse, and employers of all sizes and sectors, public and private, are determined to improve both the quality and quantity of our offer, making the time a young person spends in the workplace as relevant, meaningful and inspiring for both the young person and our employees who host them.

JOIN US TODAY by clicking HERE and be a Work Inspiration Employer.

To make it as easy as possible we have developed a fully interactive toolkit for any staff member to use when they host a young person. Click now on the Employer Toolkit to load the Work Inspiration Wall - then click the Three Insights sign and watch the short introductory film to see how you and all your staff volunteers can build these very simple but valuable ideas into your placement programme. In developing and testing theses Insights, employers and young people are unanimous - they really work!

500,000+ young people... seek work experience every year - this is often their first real taste of the world of work and their chance to develop the employability skills that we know are fundamental in our fast changing workplace. Join the hundreds of employers across the UK and become a Work Inspiration Employer today!
